About

Well I started life in sunny South Africa, my British father yearned to return to his homeland so at the age of 6, we all migrated to a very cold, very wet corner of North East England. Here I began my artistic journey with some impressive stick men drawings and enough painted papier mache objects to warrant my mother banning me from the toilet roll cupboard.

I always loved being creative, for as long as I can remember. I made drawings and paintings for everyone I knew, spent painstaking hours on each one while my friends played with skipping ropes. I just loved the joy it brought to people, receiving my artwork. Not because I believed myself to be the re-incarnation of Picasso but rather because I knew I'd put every ounce of effort and passion I had, into producing something that was uniquely for them.

That is still how I feel today, I paint what inspires me, beauty in nature and man as well as beauty in line and colour. I love texture paste and impasto and the way it allows the artwork to come to life. I want my paintings to bring a smile to your face, be the finishing touch to a room or just something special, just for you.
