About

Hi my name is Peggy.

I grew up in New Orleans, and was raised by a very talented and artistic Mom. Besides the difficult job of raising children and running a home, she found time to paint, craft, and sew most of my clothing. I'm sure that her love of creating is where my inspiration and love began.

In the classroom as a teacher, I would incorporate art, crafts, sewing, painting, etc with the children. Most lessons would include some artistic activity. The children loved it and so did I. I painted all of my bulletin board displays, never liking the ones that you could purchase at the store.

As a child I had a love for Mardi Gras beads, throws, and parades! After recently retiring from teaching, I have found more time for creating things. I now create unique pieces of art using authentic Mardi Gras…

I now create unique pieces of art using authentic Mardi Gras beads and upcycled frames. I also do some painting, sewing, gardening, and just enjoy the life that God has given me.

I simply love creating something beautiful from items that might otherwise end up in the trash. Many times my art will include such things, although I love to paint and sew too! I have a huge love, appreciation and thankfulness for nature, music, and the south, all of which are the source of my inspiration. Inspiration is also found in my love for Jesus, who holds my hand and leads me through my day! I love vivid colors and simple images. I do hope to expand my shop to include other items. I have really enjoyed this Etsy experience so far, and look forward to continued success right here!

God bless you and thank you for stopping by!!
