About

I am a self-taught jewelry designer/crafter. It is a craft that I thoroughly enjoy. I am a person that loves to keep my hands busy. As a child, my mom taught me how to knit and I took to that very well but it was never enough for me. I next learned how to crochet and sew. Several years later one of my sister's-in-law turned me on to quilling, I was hooked for life!!! I was a dental assistant most of my life which required me to use my hands all day long and just loved that, then at night I would go home and work on my crafts. I just can't get enough. After an accident took away my ability to do dental assisting, I had to find a new way to keep busy so I went back to school to learn to be a nail technician. Again with the hands! LOL! After working in a spa for a short period of time, I became interested in skin care. So, I then decided to sign myself up for a course in aesthetics. That took several months. After graduation,…

After graduation, I continued to work in the same spa, yet again that was not enough for me. I was not busy enough. I moved on to a busier place, and I am much happier there. Truth be told though, I think I work a day job to support my beading habit, lol. I just love working with beads sooo much. There is something about creating a necklace or a bracelet out of a pile of beads and then people wear them. One day I was out in a grocery store and saw this woman in the next checkout and she was wearing the most beautiful necklace. When I got up close to her I realized that it was one I had made in my early years of creating. She said that a friend had given it to her for her birthday a few years earlier. We got chatting, and of course I knew her friend and I told her that I had made her necklace so she asked if I could make a bracelet and earrings to match. WOW! That doesn't happen every day. You just never know who you are going to meet and where. This incident prompted me to open a store on ETSY! You never know what path life is going to lead you down.
