About

I originally grew up in Upstate New York. I still love the area especially in summer and autumn. There are some brilliant sights up there. However I moved to the Carolinas shortly after graduating high school and I really don't miss the amount of snow I used to see!

I'm really eclectic and usually have 5 or 6 projects all going on at once. I've been crafting since I was little; I learned to sew from my grandmother and to knit and crochet from my mother. Painting and beading were mostly self taught, but are something I have in common with my Aunt.

I've lately been getting into scrapbooking and working with polymer clay. I guess a lot of this kind of work was done in Girl Scouts at times too. A lot of people would describe me as hipster or even retro, and I don't deny it. My favorite color is blue but I love all the colors when working…

As much as I love the fall colors which are best in the mountains, I'm a coastal girl. I'm not too country, and not too city, but I do love wide open spaces and the beauty of nature. I also love the arts and theater cities offer.

In fiction I like a whip smart, witty girl who isn't afraid to jump into action, even if it is a bad idea (see: Stephanie Plum, Sookie Stackhouse, Veronica Mars, etc.) and I like to think I identify with that type of person.

Oh, and I have a cat named Boots.
