About

Hi,

If Unique Handcrafted Beaded gifts are what you are looking for then you have come to the right place.

I am Joy and I live in the island-city of Singapore. Unlike the many wonderful beaders out there, I have not been beading since I was young, rather, I have been hoarding beads since my childhood days. I absolutely love beads and I remember having little treasure boxes of them which I permitted no-one to touch.

I enjoy working with my hands, besides beads, I have also worked with paper, fabric, wood and wire.

Many moons ago, on a rare trip to the Toys'R'Us store (they are not just for kids you know), I chanced upon a bead loom, a small wire structure of about a foot long with 2 wooden rollers at each end serving as…

About

Many moons ago, on a rare trip to the Toys'R'Us store (they are not just for kids you know), I chanced upon a bead loom, a small wire structure of about a foot long with 2 wooden rollers at each end serving as 'winding' screws. This started me working seriously with tiny little seed beads as I learn how to beadloom.

A whole new world of beadweaving, freeform beading, wireworking, stringing and lampworking beads opened up to me and I knew I have found my niche. I have been beading passionately, learning and experimenting whenever I can (my full time job permitting). And beads have become my main medium of expression. Though frustration accounts for a big part in these processes, I thoroughly enjoy every moment.

A floor lamp, simple and fun, caught my eye while I was shopping for a lighting fixture. I was totally mesmerised by the colours and glow of glass which has been enriched by the light shining through it, allowing it a seamless fluidity that's almost fabric-like. This is quite different from the beautiful Tiffany lamps.

And eversince then, I have been working to make my BeadGlow.

Enjoy your visit and have a good time.

God Bless.

Joy
