About

I'm Kara, a mom, wife and business owner. As a young child with divorced parents, I spent summers with my father who owned a Singer Sewing Store. That's where the craftiness began. My first project? A black wrap around skirt that I made at about age 8. A couple of years later it became a vampire cape.

As a youngin' I sewed, did some macrame and began knitting. As I got older, I added jewelry making. I also began frequenting thrift shops, always feeling the need to repurpose found items. 30 years later, I embellish fabrics, sew purses and totes, knit scarves, make jewelry - (both beaded and buttoned, hence the name) and do paper crafts.

Kayleigh did a beautiful project for photography class, using photos of old headstones and cemetary artifacts. Melanie has a line of characters she calls More or Less Monsters. Very fun, indeed.

In addition to Etsy, I have a full time store on eBay. I sell commercially made items there. I've been active since 1999 and have a 100% positive FB rating of 13,000+.

I'm so happy to have found a place where all of my craftiness can come together under one roof. Handmade stuff rocks... :-)
