I was first introduced to pottery at the age of six by my maternal grandmother. I didn’t pick it up again until many years later, when I began to take pottery classes. At that time, pottery was a way to keep myself grounded while work occupied most of my time. Twelve years later, in 2004, retirement allowed me to become a full time potter.
All of my work is either thrown on the wheel or handbuilt. My pieces are made from earthenware, stoneware, or porcelain. Because of my love for lots of different colors, I use dozens of different glazes. My work varies from whimsical to functional. All tableware is food safe, dishwasher safe and can be used in the microwave. My glazes are all lead free unless stated otherwise.
