About

Art and creativity have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some happy memories include my father angrily throwing away a huge chunk of clay that had made a mess on the cabinet doors as I blissfully smacked away at it, and writing unflattering stories about certain middle school teachers whom I shall not name here. It was around that time that I began dabbling in the art of jewelry making. So were born the Fluorescent Fimo Clay Heads of Horror Earrings, among other atrocities.

As a result, jewelry making was put aside for many years while I pursued other more successful creative outlets.

Then, about five years ago, a wonderful, independent, and ambitious friend of mine introduced me to the world of wire wrapping and beads, and I have never looked back. Except, of course, to say, “Did I really used to make that?” Thanks to this friend, a passion and new-found joy of expression has become a small scale business. I absolutely love creating jewelry, and being able to share it with people around the globe is an added bonus.

For those of you who know me, you know that I don’t always take myself very seriously. For those of you who don’t, let’s get together and have tea sometime (I like coffee, but it doesn’t like me.) You’ll find that I truly do take my jewelry making seriously. In fact, I may stop you mid-sentence and run after someone wearing a gorgeous pair of earrings to get a closer look. It’s what keeps me up well past midnight most nights, which is usually the only time I have to work on my jewelry anyway. I find I am quite happy sitting at my work station “bringing to life” what was previously only in my head or sketched hurriedly on a piece of paper. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and more importantly, for humoring me.
