About

I have always loved trees, and I am fortunate enough now to be living on the edge of deciduous forest filled with beech trees- hence the name! I have always known I was an artist, and that carries through all parts of my life, including, of course, my knitted baby items. I design my baby knits with an eye toward simple, fun and classic designs that can become timeless pieces to be passed down from one baby to the next. Organic is very important to me, since many of the chemicals found in our modern world are harmful to all of us, though the effects manifest in different ways, from the local ecosystem of the farm on out. Babies are particularly vulnerable to these chemicals as their bodies are still developing. As well as organic, I also make sure all of my yarn is fair trade certified, so you can be sure no children were harmed in the process of bring the final product to your door!
