I have always enjoyed hobbies such as wood carving, beading, batik and pottery. However, it wasn't until I took the Silver I class at William in Young Harris, Georgia years ago that I became serious about original creations in sterling silver. I love the design process as well as a applying a wide variety of techniques such as piercing, forging, hammering and planishing to create different textures and shapes. As I continue to work on my skills and techniques, I'm experimenting with other media such as batik fabric, old trade beads, enamel and wood. Although I've had many a disaster in the studio, working out a new design is always exciting to me.
All my jewelry items are original designs and fabrication. I stay busy (when not at my day job!) working in my little log cabin studio out back.
