BIO: We have five acres that includes a huge organic kitchen garden and a small greenhouse where I grow spinach, lettuces and radishes during the winter. Summer is my busiest time. In addition to working for several hours outside in the garden during the day, I also preserve much of our harvest for future consumption. In 2014, we harvested 750 pounds of produce. I make jam and preserves from our berries, tomato sauce and sundried tomatoes, freeze green beans, peas, carrots. I grow two kinds of basil and make my own pesto which I freeze. My husband has learned how to make many varieties of refrigerator pickles.

When I have the chance, I like to do creative things like the glass and fabric items for sale here at Etsy. For my fine art and fine craft, such as large plates and sculpture, I am represented by Componere Gallery in The Loop on Delmar Boulevard in University City, Missouri. My work is also available at Bluestem Missouri Crafts in Columbia, Missouri.

The Loop is a fabulous, fun place to be. I believe Delmar Boulevard, the "main drag" of the Loop, is considered one of the great streets or great avenues, of America. Washington University is very close by, so the area has lots of college age kids. Ethnic restaurants are mixed in with fun clothing boutiques, speciality shops, resale shops, the Moonrise Hotel as well as Blueberry Hill, where Chuck Berry performs about once a month.
