Hi there!

I live and work in Utrecht, a beautiful town in the middle of the Netherlands.
Six years ago I took a workshop lampworking together with my mum and sister and since that moment I'm totally hooked on this rather simple way to melt glass. Lampworking is a type of glasswork where a torch or lamp is primarily used to melt the glass. I use a good old '‘Dragon Breeze’ propane torch to make the glass beads. I like to make simple and plain beads, often decorated by a tiny millefiori flower.

Besides working with glass I love playing around with different materials. But i'm a little bit afraid of my sewing machine. I love to draw, doodle and illustrate as well.

People often ask where the name Bint is coming from. Well, first of all it's the name of my sweet old cat. A Bint is a potato variety as well or a heavy wooden beam in the Dutch language.
