Bivaletz Stoneware Pottery is a family endeavor. Our studio is located just outside the hamlet of Olga on beautiful Orcas Island in the northwest corner of Washington State. Ginny started hand-building and sculpting in the early 90's and learned to throw on a kickwheel at Instituto Allende in Mexico. She was soon joined in the studio by husband and son (the Bobs).
Our soft matte glazes have been chosen in the image of art pottery of the arts and crafts movement and look lovely nestled all together on your shelves. All the wheel thrown pieces are created by Ginny. Husband Bob handbuilds beautiful plates and trays. Our son Bob has helped us get our Etsy Shop up and running and might have some things listed soon.
All of our pottery is fired in a gas reduction kiln to over 2300 degrees F. It is all dishwasher/microwave/oven safe…
