I truly love creating jewelry, in copper, silver, and brass. I have taken several classes at NSCAD in Halifax to learn the basics, but most of what I do is self-taught. Creating is a great escape for me, to use my hands to do something unique, intricate, and beautiful. I hope you like the pieces I make!

My studio name, BlindCaveFish, comes from one of my previous jobs. I used to breed Mexican blind cavefish in a development lab. I love the little creatures; they use their bodies to feel the world around them, a tactile world, since they do not have eyes.

I am one of those people who is so fascinated by life they have to make a career of it. I am a biologist, an ornithologist. Yes, I study birds. How they move, their form, shape, architecture, is what I am discovering for my Masters Thesis, here at the UofC…
