Welcome to the Bohdi Tree Gallery. I first discovered photography in college, when I was taking plant identification classes. Each term we had to assemble a book of all the plants that we studied. I chose to take my own pictures instead of downloading them from the internet, and a new love was found.
The word Bohdi comes from the root Bohd which means “to awaken” or “to know.” It is said that Buhda, after achieving enlightenment, spent seven days just starring up at the Bohdi Tree and smiling. While I have a long distance to go before achieving enlightenment, I can understand spending days looking up at a tree. As a nursery man and a landscape designer I have spent many hours marveling at the wonders of the natural world.
