About

After having a couple of kids, my neurosis kicked in to high gear. I became paranoid about what my kids were eating, drinking, breathing, and putting on their skins. After some research, I was sickened by the amount of unregulated chemicals, petroleum products, and downright toxic substances that were being put in cosmetics and skin care...even innocent-looking bubble bath products made for children!
Instead of spending an arm and leg on "natural" products (sometimes, with very questionable ingredients), I decided to make my own. I enjoy tinkering in the kitchen and developing new "recipes". After creating some tried and true formulations, I wanted to share my creations with others who are also seeking natural and organic ingredients, reusable/recyclable glass and tin containers, minimal plastics, and a strong effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
