After getting a degree in fashion design at the Fashion Institute Of Design and Merchandising, I began working in film and TV as a costume designer and costumer, as well as a wardrobe stylist for commercials, music videos and album covers in LA.
When marriage and then two babies came along, working 14 - 18 hours a day was no longer the incredible fun it used to be but needing a creative outlet, I was drawn to jewelrymaking.
I find the myriad of techniques and nuances to metalsmithing, stone setting and wax carving intriguing. I was taught stone setting by the setting king Blaine Lewis at The New Approach School for Jewelers and wax carving by the brilliant wax queen, Kate Wolf. I always continue to seek more growth in jewelry making as it's truly endless and every year, take yet another class to add to my skills…
