About

I am drawn to diversity and integration, especially the kind you find within the forests, prairies, and protected wilderness areas of our world. I find being in these places deeply restorative. It's my goal to bring a little part of the feeling of nature, of integrated living, to others.

My training has been almost entirely hands-on. My partner and I spent several seasons in western North Carolina living in an off-the-grid, herbal botanical garden where I gained the basis for my continued herbal education.

We grew, harvested and prepared hundreds of varieties of plants. This place, called Mountain Gardens, also serves as an apothecary to the local acupuncturist, providing an opportunity to become oriented with Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs. Since then, I've stayed immersed in gardening, reading, traveling from bio-region to bio-region, and staying connected with herbalists across the country. We are currently renovating an old homestead near Marshall, North Carolina, amongst generations-old farmsteads and a culture of subsistence and self-reliance infused with music and art.

All of my herbal products are made by hand, by me, and most are grown and/or harvested sustainably by me and my partner, Mike. Thank you for being part of this cycle, and be well.
