About

I have been an arts-and-crafts person for much of my adult life, using various media. Recently I discovered the joy of painting! But more frequently, I make pottery, and I have been doing so off and on for almost 20 years. Usually I hand-build or use molds, and I love to play with different glazes. One of my favorite tools is my collection of cookie cutters, which I stamp into flat pieces of clay, and then use the cutouts to make ornaments or to accent larger bowls and pots. I am inspired by others' works as well, and will often come back from a vacation trip with LOTS of fresh ideas!

I also love working with paper in decoupage projects, origami boxes, stationery and envelopes. My most-frequent paper source is old calendars - I love when they get marked down at the beginning of the year and I can stock up cheaply! With them, I can make themed sets of boxes or envelopes.
