About

If you were to meet me you would eventually put me into the eclectic category when it comes to decor and fashion. I'm very intrigued by vintage items and the overall style, but am also wowed by a lot of modern pieces that are simple with clean lines. When I was younger I enjoyed time alone to see where my imagination took me and believe that someone in my family passed on the creative gene (probably my mother). I naturally fall into hobbies that are creative and artistic and that is what grounds me when living my professional life.

Many times the things that I create just come to me randomly and I go with it. In the past I have had times that I was really into making jewelry, drawing pictures, scrap-booking, and upcycling tired old items into something new. Many times the things that I create just come to me randomly and I go with it. In the past I have had times that I was really into making jewelry, drawing pictures, scrap-booking, and upcycling tired old items into something new. Lately I have been quite involved in planning my DIY Wedding coming in October 2010.

I am originally from the Niagara Region in Ontario and just a couple years ago moved to Nova Scotia to begin my career in Social Work. I have always been a nature nut but since moving to Nova Scotia I seem to be more frequently submersed within nature and the beauty it presents. I find it so exciting to work with natural elements and create useful items out of things that may otherwise be overlooked.

My shop started as a result of my time consuming searches on the internet and online stores for the perfect jewelry holder. I wanted something unique and big enough to display all of my items, and make it easy and accessible to pick the piece that is "just right" with what I was wearing that day. After not finding what I was looking for I got the idea to turn an existing piece of driftwood I had into a jewelry holder. That is where it all began. My first piece became too small for my growing collection so I moved onto the next. A friend of mine was talking about her jewelry display dilemma so I gave her my solution to organizing jewelry. I know there are other women out there who have struggled with the same issues so I took it upon myself to create a variety of displays to help those in their search find a solution. I hope you enjoy my creations, and can find that perfect spot in your home to display your items as I have in mine :)

I continue to find unique pieces of driftwood and will be expanding my store to include home decor items so check back often for these one of a kind items.

P.S If you are wondering what's behind the Username, my grade five teacher educated the class about "Brie" cheese and how it was like me, Bri. So he began calling me Bricheese, and well, it stuck :)
