About

I have always enjoyed making things, I think I got it from my grandmother. I spent a lot of time with her. I mean a lot. My mom would call and say I had to come home and I would cry. I was the oldest of 4 children. The littles were all boys! I loved my brothers like crazy, but sometimes I needed a break. My mom had so much on her plate with working full time and keeping a house and chasing after 3 boys, so she didn't have the time or patience to teach me.
My grandma grew up during the depression, so it was a way of life to make everything. She taught me how to cook and garden. How to sew, crochet, embroider, etc. They had a dairy farm and chickens and I had so much fun when I went for visits. She and I would play canasta in the afternoon while we waited for my grandpa to come in from the field and I'd play dominos with him while she cooked supper. She used to say I was an old soul.
So, okay, I may be…

So, okay, I may be old fashioned, but I love the days gone by. The simpler times. I think things are moving too quickly. With technology, children are growing up so fast and not being able to be children. I think children should maintain that innocence and naïveté for as long as possible, they will have their whole lives to dress like adults. Children shouldn't dress like reality TV stars or rappers. When I see a little girl in a prairie dress and pinafore with a bonnet, it makes my heart sing. Or a boy in cute coveralls, a romper or pants with suspenders it makes me smile!
I retired from 20 years of working in the public school system last year. I have always had a passion for making children's clothing. I made clothing for all four of my children while they were growing up and now I'm making items for their children. It is my hope that I will have the honor of making something special for your child.
All items are handmade with intention. I want the best for your child.
My clothing is made in classic designs with quality fabric. I would love for your purchase to be a family heirloom to be passed down for generations. Thank you for stopping by!
