Hannah Longmuir's Profile
I’m lucky enough to live in the beautiful Scottish Borders. I've recently moved into a little cottage on Teapot Street, where I'm building a workshop in the garden. I'm hoping the birds & hedgehogs don't mind sharing.
I've been exploring the Borders countryside since I was a little girl, collecting pebbles and caterpillars and toads and feathers, and bringing them home to draw.
My weapon of choice is my pencil, and using it I explore the world around me. I'm always surprised and delighted by the details that I find. I aim for my drawings to be delicate and calm, carefully observed and filled with character.
I like: muddy dog walks with my dog/hooligan Buddy Bear; day trips and letter writing; I collect postcards; and seeing a heron makes me happy…
