By day I am an engineer, but by night I am an artist...
My ceramics are all hand painted and unique one of kind pieces. I generally find my inspiration through my southwest locale and my day job as an engineer. My pieces tend to stay simple with statements made through bold color, minimal designs and mix media.
The primary material I work with is earthenware; one of the oldest materials used in pottery. Each piece is fired twice. The first firing is from greenware to bisque at cone 04 (temperature range of 1915°F to 1971°F). The piece is then glazed with lead free, non-toxic glazes and fired a second time to cone 06 (temperature range of 1798°F to 1855°F).
