About

Howdy! I am a 60 years young artist/craftsman now residing in SE Arizona. I've always loved woodworking and metalworking, and most of my work experience is in those fields. I came of age in the early 70's, during the peak of US manufacturing prowess, when American made products were highly valued throughout the world.
Those days are past...those jobs are lost...and many of those skills are almost gone.
Almost...People like me, who enjoy working with their hands, continue to believe that most of you still value Handmade-In-USA products. They are created with love, and each piece has a story.
I've always been fascinated by the natural world, and all my work reflects that interest. Realistic animal and plant designs, the use of unusual wood, and the patina technique I've developed, are all examples of that love of nature.

About

My CopperCutts items are made using a proprietary copper laminated to hardwood method that gives the look of solid copper without the weight or expense. Due to the heat treating and patina processes, even two items of the same shape and design will have variations in color and texture. I also combine various individual CopperCutts pieces with natural wood to create one of a kind wall hangings and sculptures.
My CedarCutts signs are cut from Red (Aromatic) Cedar, rather than redwood, because cedar has far more character. Each sign becomes a unique blend of the wood grain/color and the message/scenery.
Perhaps something in my store will speak to you. If so, I thank you, in advance, for your patronage!
