I am a graduate of the lovely and traumatic RISD Painting program and a Teaching Artist at a nonprofit fine arts program for children in Southern California.
I try to make objects about tenderness which are strong but sweet. I hope they make you feel the same certain way they make me feel.
I'm interested in femininity, sexuality, flesh, bodies, theatricality, voyeurism, rituals, compulsions, repetition, meditation, prayer, breasts, mountains, tragedy, relics, squares, the color blue, ocean, small feet, and familial and cultural inheritance.
I like California, clay (especially clay), the smell of paint thinner, and Nietzsche, who says, You must have chaos within you, to give birth to a dancing star.
My work can be found…
