I am a recent graduate of the lovely and traumatic RISD Painting program. Have recently moved back to sunny Los Angeles, where I am teaching art to children for a living, and regaining a tan.
I try to make objects about tenderness which are strong but sweet. I hope they make you feel the same certain way they make me feel.
I'm interested in femininity, sexuality, flesh, bodies, theatricality, voyeurism, rituals, compulsions, repetition, meditation, prayer, breasts, mountains, tragedy, relics, squares, the color blue, ocean, small feet, and familial and cultural inheritance.
I like California, clay (especially clay), the smell of paint thinner, and Nietzsche, who says, You must have chaos within you, to give birth to a dancing star…
