Callie Hulslander Cooper's Profile

About

Welcome to my shop! My name is Callie Hulslander Cooper and I hope you enjoy browsing through it.
I stumbled upon jewelry design by accident, and am constantly surprised where it manages to take me. Never in a million years would I have envisioned myself opening a store online, or finding great joy in creating something that people respond to in the way they have.
Jewelry design and production is something that has come surprisingly natural to me. It has been a slow evolution, one I am easing my way into. I love coming up with new designs and am constantly evolving to keep my style current, yet timeless. My inspiration comes from anywhere... it may be a bed of zinnias, the forests and mountains, or the pages of Vogue. It may be a bit of an artist's cliche, but nature is one of my greatest inspirations, as I am completely surrounded by natural beauty living in northwestern Montana…

Jewelry is the one facet of my life where I am a perfectionist and absolutely meticulous in my craftsmanship and design. My designs tend to be simple, sweet, dainty, quiet, and very feminine. I find great gratification in coming up with surprising color combinations and new designs.
In many of my pieces I use silk cord to add polish and character to a piece. I can funk up a piece by using a bright contrasting color of silk knotted between the stones or keep a piece classic by sticking to a more neutral color similar to the color of the stones. Depending on the size of the beads and whether the necklace is multi-stranded, it can be a time consuming job, but one I feel is completely worth the effort.
My home and family are in Montana and I wouldn't want it any other way. We love to ski, hike, bike, canoe, swim, camp, fish and basically do anything a person can do outside. I have two amazing sons full of piss and vinegar, a husband who is supporting me on this venture of creativeness, a mother who continually goes above and beyond the call of duty and a father who instilled a great love of nature into both my sister and I. We have four dogs, three cats and a rabbit roaming around in the woods next to our house. We rarely have the opportunity to use the words bored or boring in our household.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my shop. I would love to hear from you whether it be good, bad or ugly (well, maybe not ugly). I want help you find the perfect piece of jewelry that you'll love for years to come, as I am exceptionally proud of my work and want my clients to feel the same about their jewelry. Thanks once again for taking the time to stop by.
