Caren Burns' Profile

About

Hi,
My name is Caren and I am lucky enough to live in the tropical grandeur of Northern Western Australia. I am an Art Teacher and have been a keen potter for many years. However over the last few years I have come to discover and love glasswork. As someone who needs to be 'on the go' all the time, glasswork allows me to express my creativity when it's too hot to pot. The Kimberly region is brilliant, wild and unique - its moods, colours and feel change all the time, and I try to capture this in my art: glasswork, pottery and photography.

The Boab tree best represents the Kimberly and I use it in all its shapes and sizes in my artwork. It is a piece of artwork in itself and each tree has a magnificence if its own.
