Carol Joy's Profile

About

My earliest memories of sewing were during my grandma’s annual visits. I remember her tying off threads that I had cut too short, and I helped her thread her needles. She was a beautiful seamstress, very much a perfectionist but creative too.

She sent me two Barbie doll outfits when I was a youngster; my favorite was a white cotton dress with red and pink flowers. She made a matching light pink, pinwale corduroy coat to go with it.

I’ve since done all types of needlework including crochet, knitting, embroidery, beading and sewing. I’ve incorporated all the skills I’ve developed over the years into what I make. I hope you’ll enjoy the items as much as I enjoy making them!
