Formerly a high school teacher, I chose to leave my career after my daughter was born. With progressive hearing loss, teaching has become almost impossible but I'm not the kind of person who can sit still for very long and my brain and spirit seem to dry up if I'm not creatively challenging myself. Now, I consider myself a work from home mom. I grew up crafting, sewing, painting, and creating under the influence of my mom and grandmother.
I began making glass tile pendants as Christmas gifts for friends and family. After creating a hundred or so with generic prints and graphics I had the idea to use personal photographs. I made a few for family members and the orders started pouring in. Everywhere the pendants were worn, someone wanted one. People from out of state and far away were asking if I had a website so I decided to put my pendants on Etsy to make the purchasing transactions easier. Eventually I renamed the business…
