I am a retired elementary school teacher and live in the small scenic town of Vail, Arizona just outside of Tucson. I first learned to crochet using #10 cotton thread. This was the material of choice for my grandmother, so this was how she introduced me to the art of crochet. Thread crochet produces beautiful and amazing works of art, but the time involved to complete a project is almost prohibitive. As my family grew, and work responsibilities encroached on my life, my number 7 hook and crochet thread were put away.

Once my life slowed down I found my old hook and thread and began to experiment with projects. A tablecloth was my first endeavor. Once it was completed I began to look around for projects that were less time consuming and gave more immediate reward. After trying different things, I discovered a pattern for a Christening outfit. This too takes more time than the average crochet undertaking, but I was surprised at the satisfaction the completetion of this beautiful dress brought.

I placed that first dress on Etsy and was pleasantly taken back when it sold. Since then I have made and sold several more, adding my own personal additions to to different patterns. I believe part of my delight in making these creations is knowing that the dress I am working on will be a part of a joyous family tradition. I have wonderful memories of the Blessing days of my children and I am happy to share a small part of that experience with other families.

Please take a moment to look at my hand crocheted Blessing & Christening dresses. Many of them are my own design using an amalgamation of several patterns. I always try to keep several dresses Ready To Ship in the Christening & Blessing section in my shop.

Also, I have several patterns that can be custom ordered if they are not available in my store. These designs can be found in the Custom Order section of my shop. Please get in touch with me if you would like to order one, and allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. They will add a unique quality to this special day of welcoming & new beginnings.
