About

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF:
Hi!
Living in a century-old farmhouse has intensified my sense of "What would Gram do?", blending old ways with new twists. I delight in using traditional materials for new designs, as well as the tried-and-true.

Imagine multiple 64-pks of crayons, paper, pencils, glue, feathers, acorns, horses, a pond, birds calling, apple trees, and a mind hungry for more... this was my childhood and is my happy place. A steady stream of ideas is found there.

"Don't throw that away! I could use it for something!" continues to be my mantra (except that 'mantra' implies 'calm'...hmmm)

My hubby's view of the world complements mine, and together we dream up oodles of ideas and projects. We have wonderful adventures together!…

UPCYCLING MAKES SENSE!
No sense creating more demand for new material when there are jeans just waiting to come to life. Denim's durability and versatility, along with its limitations, presents me with challenges on how best to construct a piece to get the look I'm after. Plus it just looks great with everything!

WHY CROCHET?
My penchant for randomness is satisfied by crochet's ability to take yarn anywhere I want it to go. It can literally be constructed into anything with the right stitches!
I love to make up my own patterns; puzzling out how to make something work just so. You will be delighted to see that very few of my items are like another. That's how I prefer it!
I am constantly inspired by my surroundings, people I meet, nature, everyday tasks... and my head is full of ideas to make. Who knows what I'll be working on next!
