Who is ChuchuLyn?

Me that's who, Aka Lynette Silver. My younger years were filled with dance school, sleep away camp, barbie dolls, double-dutch, plays, circus and most important, great friends and family. As a baby, whenever my mother took me anywhere, I would just run all over the place and she began to call me chu chu. A lot of my friends call me “Lyn” for short and my dad & mom call me “chu chu”. This thereby gave birth to my company ChuchuLyn.

Company Mission:

The creation of this collection is inspired by my wonderful, beautiful and creative mother Linda Williamson. She taught me and my brother in our formative years how to make creative, off the top of the head jewelry. As young children we would accompany her to the village where she would sell her pieces on the famous New York streets such as West 4 & 6 th Ave, and East Broadway.

My mother passed away in the year 2008, with each piece I make I feel comfort and closer to her. My jewelry gallery is a tribute and contribution to her legacy. One thing my mother and I both agreed on was that there was a void in the jewelry industry. Why should we purchase pieces that range from $30.00 to ??? dollars that will tarnish in a year and non-gemstones? I wanted to create wearable art that included sterling silver, gold, citrine, aquamarine, rubies, emeralds, rough diamonds, turquoise, pearls and more for affordable prices.

These art works will be collectibles that can be passed down from generation to generation. I make each and every piece of my handmade jewelry individually, hand-placing beads, wire constructing - sometimes for hours - until I get the perfect end product. I consider all my pieces a work of intricate art and several pieces I only make ONCE!!
