About

Kitchen Sinque was born of my obsession - er, love - for all things vintage. Industrial, cottage, midcentury modern, rustic, 1920s flapper, Art Deco, you name it, I'm in love with it. In addition, I also love to create new items from vintage textiles, wood, jewelry and anything else I get my hands on. And oh, heck, I also make completely new things sometimes that are in a vintage style.

In other words -- I'm happily buying and selling everything *and* the kitchen sink! My goal is to deliver pieces from different eras and styles so you can create the vintage home and wardrobe that's perfect for YOU. Never be afraid! I hope to be your destination for vintage treasures, whether they adorn you or your home.

Handmade items are in two lines. You could call them the soft line of textiles, and the hard line of wood!…

I hope to be your destination for vintage treasures, whether they adorn you or your home.

Handmade items are in two lines. You could call them the soft line of textiles, and the hard line of wood!

The Clever Ruthie line:

Clever Ruthie is named for my interesting Grandma Ruth, an inspiring seamstress! She even has a couple of inventions to her credit, including Roman shade tape. She bought me my first sewing machine and she was, of course, very clever. Now I am also inspired by vintage fabric, trims, buttons and more to create new things, every single one of them absolutely *one of a kind.* I let the materials – fabric, hankies, doilies, bits of lace, even costume jewelry – tell me what they should become, and then I do my best to execute that vision, designing each piece to show off the vintage materials and, I hope, to be a something of a work of art as well as earth-friendly, recycled and upcycled.

The MoJoWood line:

My husband Wayne, AKA Mr. MoJoWood, is as passionate about wood as I am about textiles. His pieces are made from fun, reclaimed pallet wood, reclaimed and very rare chestnut, and other old pieces of wood that he cheerfully hoards. (Oh, the state of my garage...!) MoJoWood is named for his cat Mojo, who behaves like a dog, and who adopted him when he was a stray hanging around a job site. He is devoted to Wayne and sometimes to me, if I pet his belly just right. MoJoWood pieces come from his imagination, as he always strives to create something from the average woodworking project.
