About

I'm a stay-at-home-mom to my two and five year old sons, and we live in the beautiful coastal paradise that is Powell River, BC. Growing up here, I have always had a love of the beach, and an admiration for the beauty of Mother Nature's hand in creating fascinating "gems" of beach glass. Luckily, my sons have also decided that beach glass is cool, so we make family outings of going and collecting bits every time we go to the beach!

Making figures out of the beach glass is actually something I started many years ago, before I had kids. Every time my husband and I would go to the beach, I would end up coming home with a pocket of beach glass. One day my husband told me to do something with it all, so I started making some little figures using the glass and aquarium silicone so I could put the glass into my aquarium and still be able to see it.

I had only made a few pieces, and over the years they have broken (the silicone didn't stick very well in small amounts) or gotten lost somewhere in the many moves, but the ideas stuck with me.

Recently I had wanted to figure out a way to help my family's financial situation, but with a young child at home, taking a job outside the house wasn't an option for my family at this time... so I had to get creative!

So here are some of the fruits of my labour, and as I make more pieces I hope you will return to check them out - and maybe even make one or two of them pieces in your own home!

Thanks for stopping buy! :)
