Like so many, I have been making things with my hands and my imagination pretty much since I could walk and talk. And I found my happiness in making things for others...The need to create just grows and grows and I am always excited to try new things or just throw caution to the wind and totally go in a different direction and offer something I have not before.
I have a wonderful Mother in Law who generously offered to show me all she knows and I have been hooked since day one.
I am a big fan of using materials that are friendly to the earth or, when I am lucky enough to find some- I love upcycling materials that are getting no love, and turning them into wearables. I know this can be as simple as going to a thrift store, but I also like to support fellow handmade artisans and purchase supplies and materials to keep this circle going and going. In my shop you will find a little bit of everything (including brand new, unworn merchandise that I have cut up, resewn & given a new life)
I try to live simply and enjoy what I have vs. always wanting more. This is the HARDEST thing to do sometimes. I am very lucky in what I have though and wake up everyday hoping to share positive energy with everyone that I come in contact with (coffee helps)
I have a beautiful & creative 14 year old daughter, a wonderfully supportive and loving fiance', and 3 furbabies that like to mess with the balance that I am trying to achieve. I'm pretty sure my one cat is plotting to destroy the world. But that is neither here nor there. (I just keep my eye on him...)
Thank you for taking the time to visit my little Etsy shop and please remember to buy local whenever you can and also help support the handmade arts. Every little purchase counts towards something bigger. Even when you purchase that $3 lipbalm, you are telling that seller that you believe in what they do. It means everything.
