Corina St. Martin's Profile

About

If you know anything about me you know that I love animals, thankfully so does my partner Julie. My original intention years ago was to either be a veterinarian or a marine biologist but the vet thing was sidelined when I discovered that while in a surgical situation I tend to get extremely lightheaded, and fluctuate between being very hot and very cold. I really am not suited for situations that will require cutting something that bleeds and quickly realized that sort of thing would be best left to someone else's capable hands.

As for the marine biology, well you have to live near the ocean and with my family commitments it just never worked out. SO I went back to my first love of art and decided that the best way for me to help animals was to paint and sculpt them. Something that never makes me lightheaded or inclined to leave my lunch somewhere other than in my stomach where it belongs…

Something that never makes me lightheaded or inclined to leave my lunch somewhere other than in my stomach where it belongs.

My work rides a line somewhere between realism and whimsy and always has a lot of color. It makes me happy to create it and I'm told that it makes my collectors happy to have it hanging on their walls which in turn makes me happy all over again! Also through the sales of my work I'm able to donate money to various animal causes. Usually to our local animal shelter or to an animal that is in desperate need of medical help. My intention as this business grows is to move even more into wildlife conservation work, it is where my heart truly is and since I can't be a vet, then I'll help as best I can with the financial side of things.

Meanwhile I hope that you enjoy my work and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! Thank you for looking!!

Have a stellar day!

Corina
