Hello friends, I have a new shop! Come visit me here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Wildthorne

Welcome, and thank you for stopping by.

My jewelry uses found natural elements that echo the California coast where I grew up; the redwood forests and wild seashores nurtured a creative thread within me; the natural collections I began then continue to this day. I am compulsively drawn toward shells, stones, bones, seedpods and feathers, not just seeing the natural beauty... but the elemental powers contained within.

It is my intent to make meaningful jewelry that goes beyond trends and fashion- these natural objects in my work are carefully chosen, steeped in the memory of their origins- ancient crystals from deep in the…

It is my intent to make meaningful jewelry that goes beyond trends and fashion- these natural objects in my work are carefully chosen, steeped in the memory of their origins- ancient crystals from deep in the mountains, shells washed up on coastal shores, and seedpods made to hold the spark of life. To me a shell or stone isn't just a pretty trinket, it's a perfect object of nature's all-embracing and natural magic.

"Your pieces exude this plump, expensive fecundity and life, even in those set in the more subtler and darker colors. I can't yet quite explain logically how your works appear so to me, but maybe on the outset it is easy to observe that your creations were often articulated with some highly poetic forms in a larger scale (it might have been caused by your creating process), and these forms often do not seem to have been come out from meticulously calculated "design" but from a more intuitive, natural semantic transfer as that applies to the transfer between the sensibilities toward different artistic genres (ie. transfer between musical understanding and visual or linguistic expressions). Some people are particularly good at this -- Proust, for example. So besides details and material/color choices, your works embody a sensuous, living quality that enables them to converse with the people who wear or appreciate them." - M.X.

"The colors in your work are inspiring. Ethereal, shamanistic--like a trip on ayahuasca or peyote, I'd imagine. Some spirit-invoking intoxication. Beautiful, really." -O.O

"Your stuff channels some sort of great spirit, I really feel a sense of almost shamanistic communication with your stuff. Especially with the colour as well...you have these vivid purples and magentas, I want to say that they're almost erotic or impassioned, like African war dances or frenzied orgies. They have a higher frenzy about them." -S.S.
