I am also a book author. My first book, Painting Greeting Cards for Fun and Profit, was published by North Light Books in 1999. One of my paintings appeared in Splash 8, by the same publisher. My second book, Greeting Cards from A to Z, is published by Sterling Publishing [2006]. My third book, Watercolor 101 – Techniques for the Absolute Beginner, about watercolor painting, is also published by Sterling Publishing [2007].

The Artist Magazine and other magazines have published my art and editorials. My art has also appeared in Martha Stewart Living magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, and other publications.

In 2008 my graphite pencil illustrations appeared in, Dreams on the Oregon Trail, by Barbara Linsley. In 2009 this book won the Willa award.

I have given workshops and talks for the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Maryland Academy for the Arts, Chautauqua Institute, and other organizations.

My formal education is an AAS from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After many years in the corporate world I finally followed my life ambition to draw and paint for a living.

When I am not working my husband and I play with our rescued golden retriever. Our little rescue dog is now [2013] a therapy dog and visits assisted living homes. She sure makes people happy.
