I can't remember a time when I didn't create something. Thinking back to my childhood, I remember stitching doll clothes from scraps of fabric, turning acorns into people, beading snowflakes, and sewing clothes for myself.
In college I studied photography and art, dabbling in jewelry making, printmaking, painting, and pottery.
Now, years later, the supplies for my many creative outlets are brimming over baskets and boxes and spread over tables and shelves - ready for every creative burst!
The question my artistic parents often asked when I was a child was, "What do you have to show for?" Translation: What tangible thing have you created this day? I ask myself this question often, making sure I've progressed on or completed a creative project before end of day…
