Marnie Karger's Profile

About

About Me:

My name is Marnie (named after the Hitchcock film), and I live in lovely Shorewood, Minnesota, just west of the Twin Cities. Before joining Etsy, I taught high school English for eight years.

I have enjoyed working with my hands since I was just a squirt. My "crafting area" grew from a decorated cardboard box to my own craft room. Now I have two squirts of my own, a whole room in our house repurposed as my studio, and a patient hubby who lets me make things.

I blog intermittently about shop-related topics and crafty things here:

About the shop:

Originally, Crafterall was going to be a shop stocked with every crafty thing I could create, from hand cut greeting cards to knitted beanies. As it turned out, I didn't get far from my start with paper. Since 2007, I've been making and selling an ever evolving repertoire of paper artworks. The physical and logistical challenges, the geeky, science-y cartographic stuff, and the amazingly kind people who request my work all contribute to this being my dream job! I love Mondays!

Some of my favorite "things" include: trees, the color blue, repurposing, retired racing greyhounds, comfortable shoes, Ted Kooser poetry, making people laugh, hanging clothes on the line outside, and singing in the car.
