Kimberly Kling's Profile

About

Hello Joyful People! I’m Kimberly and I am an artist, illustrator, designer, photographer, curator, social media lover, and above all, a joy cultivator. Ultimately, spreading joy is what makes my heart sing!

I can't really remember a time before I fell in love with art and creating, although I think I fell in love with a paintbrush the first time I made the most kickin' book cover in second grade. There was no looking back after that.

You'll find me all around @joyfulroots, where I like to connect people to creativity, make magic with my art and design, and bring more joy into this world.
When I'm not online, my "real world life" takes place in a small farming town five miles from Mexico in Arizona on a high desert homestead. I get to look out my office window at some amazing mountains, our beautiful garden, and a lot of birds. Oh…

When I'm not online, my "real world life" takes place in a small farming town five miles from Mexico in Arizona on a high desert homestead. I get to look out my office window at some amazing mountains, our beautiful garden, and a lot of birds. Oh, if you want to win my heart, I'm a sucker for a good latte.

My work is inspired by everyday life, my travels, and my childhood. I love experimenting with light, color, composition, and textures to create work that captures a peaceful and nostalgic feeling. But occasionally I like to throw in something silly or humorous too.

A few things that inspire me:
-light through tall trees
-fog and dusk
-meadows
-cool breezes
-friends and family
-my son
-farmers markets
-Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau Peninsula
-the ocean
-the Sonoran desert
-coffee

Thanks for stopping by and browsing my work :)
