Judy Aringdale's Profile
When I was a young child my mother placed a needle and thread in my hand. I was embroidering by the age of 9. From that point on I knew what I loved to do, and I have been sewing ever since. Almost 70 years later, sewing is still my passion.
My first venture was selling Barbie clothing in junior high. I still make doll clothing, only now I sew for larger dolls such as Cabbage Patch or American Girl dolls.
I’ve sewed for a number of people including a thirty five year relationship creating costumes for a theater costume designer. My ability to create from nothing more than a picture or drawing helped me to create many costumes for children’s theater productions. One of my favorites was a life size crocodile, complete with a toothed jaw that opened. I thrive on challenges.
