About

My name is Erin Boyce and I am a goldsmith. I have a small workshop where I create all kinds of unique jewelry. I learned my craft at the North Bennett Street School in the heart of the North End in Boston. I have always been involved in jewelry since I was very young my father owned a jewelry store and would take me along to work with him. I think I made my first jewelry set when I was about 6 years old. I fashioned a bracelet ring and necklace from some wire I found in his work shop. When I was about 10 years old he set me up with my own rose kiosk out in the front of his store. I would sell roses to the departing customers so their beloveds would not only get jewelry as a gift but a lovely bouquet of roses. I finally graduated to sales person when I was about 13.

Over the years I worked full time as manager of the store and I would work closely with the goldsmiths who would design and repair our jewelry. I always had the desire to join the crew of goldsmiths in the back of the store. I wanted to make and fix and create new jewelry out of customer’s old jewelry. I finally found the time to apply to the North Bennett Street School where I quickly fell in love with the art of making jewelry. I learned so much at North Bennett it was an invaluable experience. Since then I have worked with many great goldsmiths where I have continued to learn great techniques and shared lots of ideas. I have been making jewelry now for about 15 years. Living here on the ocean has been very inspiring. I use the swirl in most of my pieces I have taken it as my symbol which for me is the ebb and flow of life. Like the tides coming in and going out. I am very lucky that I have a job that I love doing. I hope you enjoy looking at my jewelry and find something that you like that will make you smile. If you have an idea and think I can help you please contact me. I've worked with many customers designing their own personal piece of jewelry. Thank you.
