About

Welcome to Yarn Yarn Yarn's, a unique and inspirational yarn store offering recycled sari silk ribbon, sari silk yarn, handmade art yarns, organic yarns, banana yarns, nettle yarns and many more ethically produced art yarns.

My name is Julie Colquitt and I am a Scottish Crochet Designer with a passion for Indian silk and unique art yarns after my travels around India over 10 years ago. I discovered recycled sari silk ribbon and hand spun recycled silk yarn after a long search for unique art yarns for my wall murals, handmade bags and accessories (which are on sale at CrochetMushroom.co.uk) and I am now selling these handmade inspirational yarns all over the world because, well.. I am a little obsessed with them and I needed to get involved!

These yarns are produced by womens co-operatives in India. I buy this beautiful yarn, which includes recycled sari silk ribbon, recycled silk yarn and banana yarn, directly from these women and I still marvel at the peerless quality and enchantment of these yarns years on. I am now selling organic nettle and organic hemp yarn from Nepal along with handspun cottons and linens along with other Indian silk products including handwoven pure silk scarves and shawls for you to dye yourself.

I also have beautiful bags and accessories on sale here and in gift shops and galleries all over the world. I am motivated by fusing cultures, producing work with beautiful Scottish Harris Tweed aran and recycled silk sari ribbon and yarn. I just can't get enough of these fibers!

I hope you find insiration within my shop, and please, check out my website: www.yarnyarn.net and my facebook page crochetmushroom. I would love to here your feedback so please feel free to contact me any time!
