Death and Texas may sound like a dire name, but I’ve always found inspiration in the images and aura surrounding this great state. You name it: rodeo costumes, tooled leather, old cowboy boots, equestrian gear, horse tack…I even like the way the landscape photographs, like in old movies where the sunset casts a pink glow over everything and still it all looks so tough. Of course, I’m romanticizing it a bit here, but my love is real.
A little about me: I was born in Dallas, TX, and as far back as I remember and most likely before that, I’ve been making things – drawing, painting, taking things apart in my head and building something new with my hands. I studied sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and then went on to work as a designer and production manager for an accessories company in NYC for 2 years.
