About

I am a farmwife and mother from South Dakota.  I learned how to sew and quilt when I was 8 years old from my mother and grandmother. My first quilt is from scraps my grandma made clothes for my mother with. They taught me the importance of using quality materials in my projects, so you will always find high quality quilt shop fabric in my quilts. My favorite quilt store also opened when I was 8 years old and I feel like I have grown up in it. In college I even worked there for several years and thoroughly enjoyed spending my Saturdays there. Now I am raising 2 children on the plains of South Dakota with my wonderful husband and try to sneak into my sewing room (which is our unfinished basement) whenever I can and combine fabric combinations not everyone might think of. I love to work with batiks and bright, clear colors.
