Dan Dricken's Profile
Daniel Dricken was born and raised in West Bend, Wisconsin. His parents nourished his artistic spirit from the earliest age which left them with a backyard filled with refrigerator and stove boxes turned into space ships and castles. As those seeds of imagination grew Dan graduated from boxes and crayons to blast furnaces and kilns when he attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he received a degree in sculpture and ceramics.
Since graduating in 2008, Daniel has built a foundry that he operates out of his Riverwest studio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There he creates aluminum, bronze, iron and ceramic sculpture inspired by microscopic life and architectural forms.
Recent work includes a series of cast iron and aluminum sculptural lamps, made from recycled scrap materials.
