Sarah Darling's Profile

About

Sarah spent much of her childhood being set art and textile projects by her mother which as a small child she thought were a pointless waste of time. However she now realises that they contributed to her love of everything creative and taught her lots of patience ( which helps when creating millions of feathers)
Birds are a great passion of hers, they are full of life, vibrance and personality and she loves to transfer this energy and spirit into her art. She is a hoarder of threads, fabrics and papers and incorporates them into her work; in her commissioned pieces she also enjoys adding the buyers personal mementos such as photographs, letters and poetry.
She loves attention to detail and her work is very time consuming and takes a lot of patience!!! Each piece of art is handmade …. Each piece of paper torn, each feather sewn … thus each original art work completely unique!
