I have devoted my life to helping others, working in both academia as a professor and in social services developing policy and programs. I became inspired to make jewelry in part by a program that assists formerly homeless, mentally ill women. In order to facilitate both healing and real-life skill building, the women learn how to make jewelry and other handmade items, selling them at their store.
I am also a master figure skater, cyclist, and mom to two loving children in their late-20s, both of whom recently married.
