Carrie Herndon is a jeweler and self-described “paleo-nerd,” who loves dinosaurs, Victorian paleontology, and has never seen a museum she doesn’t love. She considers Mary Anning a personal hero (seriously, look her up) and spends her evenings and weekends hitting things with hammers. She received her BFA in Jewelry/Metalsmithing from Iowa State University, before attending Kent State University for her MFA. She now lives and creates near Des Moines, Iowa, in a studio full of books and fossils.
